Mariela is passionate about delivering compassionate, person-centred psychological care and has a strong focus on women’s mental health. She has a particular interest in supporting individuals through experiences of reproductive trauma, infertility, pregnancy, and motherhood, as well as the emotional and physical changes that may arise during perimenopause and menopause.
Mariela also works with individuals living with chronic pain conditions, including endometriosis, and provides support during significant life transitions, periods of grief, and personal crises. She supports clients experiencing anxiety and depression, particularly when these concerns are shaped by hormonal changes, reproductive challenges, or broader life stressors. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in warmth, empathy, cultural sensitivity, and collaboration, creating a safe space for individuals to feel heard, supported, and empowered.
She draws on evidence-based cognitive and behavioural therapies, with a particular interest in Schema Therapy to help clients explore longstanding emotional patterns and coping responses shaped by early life experiences. Mariela is also trained in EMDR and integrates this approach to support individuals working through trauma-related concerns and building emotional resilience.
