Matt is a Clinical Psychologist who works with children and teenagers (ages 11 – 25) and their families to help them navigate the ups and downs of adolescence. This time can be filled with change, strong emotions, and questions. Challenges can range from school concerns, anxiety, and mood swings to trauma.
Having grown up in Beaumaris himself, he enjoys working with local young people to support them in improving their mental health and wellbeing. Matt understands the challenges of adolescence, values your story, and sees therapy as a way for growth.
Matt offers evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Emotion Focussed Therapy (EFT).
Matt takes a client-centred approach, which means that you are the expert on your experience. He is not only here to support you, but also to help you understand what you’re going through and develop the skills you need to navigate it. Matt encourages curiosity about symptoms, patterns, and responses, to find what works for you.
Matt cares deeply about proactive mental health care. He believes in collaborating with young people and families to set and achieve mental health goals and build resilience. Whether you’re a teenager facing overwhelming stress, an adolescent struggling to get to school, or a parent trying to support a young person through change or a difficult time, Matt strives to create a safe and understanding space to work together.

Matt also offers a range of clinical, cognitive, and educational assessments. Assessment sessions are offered in the morning and can take up to a total of 4 appointments depending on the diagnostic clarification. Feedback appointments are generally booked within 4 weeks of the initial consultation.
