James is a General Psychologist and Couples Therapist. He has completed his Bachelor of Psychology (with Honours), and holds a Bachelor of Business Management (1st class hons). He is a member of the Australian Psychological Society as well as the College of Organisational Psychologists. James works with diverse populations and is an LGBTQIA+ aware therapist. James offers a therapeutic relationship that provides a secure place of appreciation, value, challenge, and change. He runs an evidence-based practice focusing on practical solutions towards client goals. James combines strategies from CBT, ACT, and IPT with an underpinning focus on positive psychology, having given talks internationally and specialising in approaches that bring the best out of individuals. James is also a Level Two qualified Gottman Couples Therapist. He works with all couples, including gender-diverse and same-sex couples. James has expertise in supporting individuals with: relationship issues, trauma and complex PTSD, mood and anxiety disorders, stress, coping, and adjustment issues, insomnia, self-esteem, confidence, and communication challenges.
