Anna is a registered and endorsed Clinical and Health Psychologist and holds a Doctorate in Psychology (Health). She is an AHPRA board approved supervisor, a member of the Australian Psychological Society and a member of the Australian Pain Society. Anna has over 14 years of experience working across private practice, community and rehabilitation settings.
Through a compassionate and collaborative approach, Anna works to identify meaningful goals, connect with existing strengths and resources, and develop practical coping strategies. She has a particular interest in the emotional and psychological aspects of health and illness.
You may be seeking to understand a recent diagnosis, need assistance coping with losses that have occurred after an illness or injury, or perhaps you feel misunderstood by others. You may spend a lot of time thinking about physical health symptoms or be confused by health symptoms that have no clear explanation. Anna can support you to manage chronic stress that may impact on sleep, work and relationships.
Therapy is informed by a range of evidence-based treatment modalities to best match the needs of the individual which include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy, Schema Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Anna is also passionate about improving sleep and is trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for insomnia.
